WELCOME TO SUMAS MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Sumas Mountain Village is a 91,000 square foot Shopping Center anchored by Save On Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart,  TD Canada Trust  and The Royal Bank. The Grand opening was in September 2012  and since then, the retail service tenants have been experiencing excellent business growth.  In October 2013, we were proud to have opened Whatcom Medical, a family medical practice that has been in operation for approximately 40 years in the Abbotsford area.  Just recently, they have opened an after hour and weekend Walk- in Clinic to meet the growing medical needs of East Abbotsford. Our other tenants round out the full service needs of our community with tenants such as Starbucks, Bosleys Pet food Store, Clearbrook Animal Hospital, Sumas Mountain Wines, Johnston Meier Insurance, West Coat Dental Clinic, Great Clips, Beyond Paradise Spa & Nails, Fresh slice Pizza and Sushi Nara Japanese Food Restaurant.

CITY OF ABBOTSFORD

Abbotsford, with a population of more than 141,000, is the fifth largest municipality in British Columbia. The City has experienced considerable growth since 1981 and between 1991 and 2001, the population increased by 36%. The community has continued to be one of the fastest growing in the province and by the year 2015, the population is expected to exceed 175,000. Presently, the population for the local trading area is over 172,000 and 270,000 for the regional market.

SUBJECT AREA

The City of Abbotsford has earmarked the Straiton Bowl and Sumas Mountain for major single-family and townhouse neighborhoods. Major residential development work on the north side of Sumas Mountain, Straiton Bowl, is well underway with a target population of 35,000. During 2007, residential expansion along the south side of Sumas Mountain was brisk with continued growth planned through 2010.
